💡 What is the Community Benefit Fund?
The Grimsby Community Energy (GCE) Community Benefit Fund offers small grants to individuals, community groups and not-for-profit organisations delivering local projects that benefit the environment.
Funded from the profits of GCE’s renewable energy installations, this fund helps turn good ideas into real community impact — tackling emissions, promoting sustainability, and greening our neighbourhoods.
✅ What We Fund
We’re looking for projects that do one or more of the following:

🌍 Reduce greenhouse gas emissions

🌱 Increase the green footprint of North East Lincolnshire

🔋 Promote energy-saving or sustainable energy solutions

🧼 Support greening of local homes, streets or public spaces

🤝 Deliver clear environmental benefits for the community
Examples might include:
♻️ Environmental workshops, 🌻 community growing projects, 💡 home energy advice sessions, 🛠️ equipment to reduce waste or power usage, or small-scale trial ideas.

Smaller grants are encouraged to help us support more projects

📍 Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from:

Individuals active in the community

Community and voluntary groups
-
Not-for-profit organisations

Charities, cooperatives and CICs
All projects must benefit the North East Lincolnshire area.
📅 When to Apply

We accept applications on a rolling basis

Apply as soon as possible — the fund will close when fully allocated

You’ll receive a decision within 2–4 weeks of submission
📝 What You’ll Need

Bank details for payment
📄 If successful, you’ll submit a short end-of-project report within 28 days of completion.
