In November 2023, Grimsby Community Energy embarked on our largest installation to date, 3 buildings at the CATCH industrial training centre in Stallingborough.

Genfit were appointed by GCE as principal contractor and designed supplied installed and commissioned the 309kWp PV array

The PV system is spread over 3 CATCH buildings (Main Reception, Technical Training Centre and CATCH Skills)

Equipment used:

• 582 x 530W Longi monocrystalline solar modules
• Solaredge inverters with power optimisers offering module level monitoring and advanced safety features during installation, maintenance and fire safety
• S:Flex roof mounting systems
• Owen Brothers metering
• Schneider, Eaton & Switchtech switchgear

During installation, Genfit worked with CATCH to facilitate electrical apprentices onto the roofs to get hands on experience of installing PV equipment.

The system will save 50 tonnes of CO2 annually, equivalent to planting 2,305 trees.
